They are getting through it. They are also missing the detail that separates doing the job from doing it right. Mereon teaches and quizzes them in Spanish, from the same source everyone else learns from.
How It Works
Nothing to duplicate, nothing to keep in sync by hand, and no separate site for half your team.
A learner sets their language and that is the last decision they make about it. Nothing asks them to choose again, and nobody has to maintain a separate Spanish workspace for them to log into.
Quiz questions and AI-built lessons are composed in their language from the start, not run through a translator afterward. A question about a torque spec reads like somebody wrote it for them, because something did.
Spanish is a view of the same model, not a second copy of your training. When two people finish the same lesson in different languages, they were taught the same procedure and measured against the same standard.
Edit the original and the Spanish version is marked for review rather than silently drifting. Nobody is left following last quarter’s procedure because their language was a step behind.
It rarely shows up as a line item. It shows up as a supervisor interpreting, and as people who nodded because it was easier than asking.
On most crews one person speaks both languages, and their real job quietly becomes interpreting. They explain the procedure, then explain it again, then get pulled off their own work to answer it a third time.
A learner who reads the safety procedure in their own language and answers questions about it in their own language has actually demonstrated they know it. That is a materially different record than a signature on an English form.
Separate Spanish training drifts. It gets updated later, or not at all, and the two halves of a crew end up doing the work differently. Here there is one procedure and two ways to read it.
Plenty of skilled people get passed over because onboarding only exists in English. When training meets them in their language, the question goes back to whether they can do the job.
